Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Cross (ranked 227 p4p, 525 weight class) and Fred Young (ranked 7 p4p, 29 weight class). Cross comes to the cage accompanied by Folk Metal. Young is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Real Ganja Man. Jeremy Cross has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 26 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jeremy Cross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fred Young! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Cross misses its intended target. Fred Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Young misses with a hook. Young takes a swing at Cross's ribcage but misses. Young has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Young throws an off balance right hand
and Cross counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cross has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Cross takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A swing and a miss from Young. Young misses with a body punch
and Cross counters with a two punch combo. Young throws a jab when Cross was well out of range. Cross missing with a left hand there. Young was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Young moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Jeremy Cross has been cut. Young misses with an uppercut
and Cross counters with a crisp right hand that drops Young! Cross lets Young back up to his feet, looking for a finish! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Young looks to throw the jab but Cross is out of range. Young misses with an attempted mid kick.
A big right from Young misses. Cross connects with a solid leg kick. Cross throws a hook but Young blocks it. Young doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. A low kick lands for Cross.
Young is looking to slow Cross down with leg kicks. Young avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Cross cracks Young with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Young looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Cross finish him?
Young is rocked!
It looks like Fred Young has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cross ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Young is still on wobbly legs! Can Cross finish him? Cross staying out of range there. It looked like Cross wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Young seems to have recovered his senses. Young pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Cross lands a big right hand that sends Young crashing to the mat! Cross stays standing though and waves Young back to his feet! Young misses with a straight left. Cross defending well as Young loads up on a big left hand. Cross went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Young tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cross was well out of range. Poor timing from Young. Young ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Young swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Young waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cross. Cross steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Young. Young ducks into an uppercut from Cross and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
