Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jed Hall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Garry Waddle! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hall shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Waddle tries to clinch up and Hall counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hall. Waddle striking off his back but it's not causing Hall any problems. Hall working some strikes from top position. Waddle trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Hall with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Hall won't allow Waddle to sweep him here. Hall throws a big right hand that misses. Hall keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Waddle's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waddle throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Waddle looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Waddle has momentary wrist control but Hall slips an elbow through the middle. Waddle wants to sweep but no luck. Hall lands a couple of elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waddle trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Hall passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Hall is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Waddle tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Waddle is not content to let Hall control the position. Hall has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ground and pound from Hall. Waddle punching from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hall working the head and body with strikes. Hall perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Waddle is refusing to be controlled, as Hall sits in half guard. Hall working Waddle over with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hall working Waddle over with strikes. Hall wants to lay and pray for a moment but Waddle keeps working. Hall lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Waddle is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hall is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hall lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Waddle is still in real trouble! Can Hall finish him? Hall scores with a big shot! Waddle's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Waddle! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
