Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pate Boxeri (ranked 1641 p4p, 5439 weight class) and Zander Fisher (ranked 121 p4p, 334 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pate Boxeri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zander Fisher! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fisher moves out of range of the strikes. Zander Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fisher misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fisher clinches up with Boxeri and pushes him back against the cage. Boxeri throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Fisher is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Boxeri pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Boxeri tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fisher was well out of range. Poor timing from Boxeri. Boxeri avoids the head kick by Fisher.

Fisher misses with a takedown attempt - Boxeri sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fisher is looking to clinch. Fisher on the wrong end of a nice jab. Nice defenses there by Fisher.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fisher moves in looking to clinch but Boxeri pushes him off. We've been told by Boxeri's head coaches at Räkälä that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. The fighters circling - Boxeri throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Boxeri comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Boxeri lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fisher circles away quickly and effectively. Boxeri lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Boxeri getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Boxeri moves into range and connects with a jab. Fisher fails with the takedown and Boxeri makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Boxeri lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Pate Boxeri is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Boxeri throws a series of punches but Fisher moves out of range. Fisher throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fisher gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Boxeri. Boxeri throws a body punch but Fisher moves out of range. Oooooh!!! Boxeri has knocked Fisher down with a huge combo! Boxeri steps away and waves a wobbly Fisher back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Fisher is rocked! Fisher looks winded! Are you kidding me?! Boxeri ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Fisher clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pate Boxeri! Our winner, Pate Boxeri, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
