Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mick Tyson (ranked 1452 p4p, 3178 weight class) and Ngannou Jones (ranked 178 p4p, 379 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mick Tyson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ngannou Jones! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ngannou Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slow jab from Tyson misses its intended target. Jones moves away from the strike by Tyson. Jones moves in looking to clinch but Tyson pushes him off. Jones throws a hook to the side of Tyson's head but Tyson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We've been told by Tyson's head coaches at Räkälä that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Tyson misses with a looping left. Jones fails with a takedown attempt. A jab from Jones misses. Tyson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A clash of legs there as Tyson blocks the low kick. Tyson is looking to counter with a shot to the body. No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt. Jones throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tyson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyson moves out of range of the body kick. Jones throws a body kick that misses. Jones thows a left - swing and a miss! Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mick Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ngannou Jones. Tyson cracks Jones with an open hand slap. Mick Tyson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Tyson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jones sprawling to the canvas! Jones rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tyson finish him?!
Jones is rocked! Tyson throws an overhand right that drops Jones like a sack of potatoes! Tyson dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mick Tyson!
