Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rickson Caceres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kylan Cedillo!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Cedillo misses its intended target.
Kylan Cedillo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cedillo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cedillo looks to land a left hand but Caceres moved out of range nicely.
Caceres tries to counter with a takedown but Cedillo is quick to defend against it.

Cedillo looks to throw a body kick

and Caceres decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cedillo's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cedillo holds on and takes a little breather.
Cedillo is trying to control the position but Caceres postures up.

Caceres works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Cedillo wants to sweep but Caceres has passed to side control!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Caceres tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Cedillo manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Caceres is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cedillo pulls his head out easily.
Caceres tries to get to full guard but Cedillo has control of the leg.

Cedillo stalling.
Cedillo is trying to control the action in half guard but Caceres is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Cedillo is continuing to stall.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Cedillo misses the jab.
Caceres attempts a counter takedown but Cedillo avoids it well and moves away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Cedillo throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Caceres counters with a single leg into guard. Cedillo didn't expect that.
Cedillo is trying to control the position but Caceres postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Caceres wants to control from the top but Cedillo keeps moving.
Caceres passes easily into side control. Nice work.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rickson Caceres will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Cedillo tries to land a front kick but Caceres steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Caceres tries to counter by clinching up but Cedillo breaks away and moves out of range.
A thudding body kick lands there by Cedillo!
Caceres will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Caceres rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cedillo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A left lands for Cedillo.

Cedillo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Caceres under the eye.

Cedillo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
As Cedillo tries to get set, Caceres tries to push him back and clinch up but Cedillo manages to avoid the attempt.
Caceres fails to land with a series of punches.
Cedillo misses with a right hand

and Caceres counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Caceres works his way into full mount!
Caceres avoids the attempt from Cedillo to control.
Cedillo is looking to improve his position but Caceres isn't that keen on the idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Caceres goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cedillo turns into him and now he's in Caceres's guard.

Caceres escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cedillo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Caceres throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cedillo escapes and throws Caceres's legs to the side, diving into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Cedillo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Caceres to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Caceres has his takedown stuffed
and Cedillo counters with a head kick. That will keep Caceres thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Caceres is rocked!
Cedillo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Caceres half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Caceres throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cedillo counters with a nice body kick.
Cedillo throws a monster overhand right that drops Caceres! Cedillo follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kylan Cedillo!
