Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alkandros Vasilios (ranked 1180 p4p, 905 weight class) and James Johnson (ranked 96 p4p, 75 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A jab from Vasilios finds it's way through Johnson's defenses.
Vasilios rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Johnson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vasilios sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Johnson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Alkandros Vasilios has been cut.

and Johnson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Oooooh!!! Johnson has knocked Vasilios down with a huge combo! Johnson steps away and waves a wobbly Vasilios back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Vasilios is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Johnson.
Johnson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Jeez, Alkandros Vasilios's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Vasilios shoots in looking for a takedown but Johnson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vasilios's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Johnson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
