Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Jota (ranked 1864 p4p, 3360 weight class) and Imma Hugga (ranked 212 p4p, 374 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Imma Hugga!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jota avoids the body shot from Hugga.
Hugga lands with a cross.
Jota instigates a clinch.
Jota tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hugga just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jota prevents a body shot from Hugga.
Jota jumps guard but Hugga turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Jota. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jota jumps guard and drags Hugga to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Jota has his foot on Hugga's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hugga works his way back into a safe position though.

Hugga is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Jota is looking to cinch up a triangle. Hugga throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jota's body to avoid the submission. Jota has instead reached around Hugga's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jota arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
