Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Time To Fight Wright (ranked 591 p4p, 831 weight class) and Schwartz Gomez (ranked 66 p4p, 99 weight class). Gomez has chosen POP SMOKE - GOT IT ON ME as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gomez but Gomez pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wright lands a jab to the head.
Gomez thows a leg kick but Wright checks it
and Wright counters with a shoot takedown. Gomez fights it but they end up in guard.
Wright scoring with some ground and pound.
Gomez wants to stand and escape but Wright is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wright is looking to work some ground and pound but Gomez has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wright distracts Gomez with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Wright tries to counter with a takedown but Gomez is quick to defend against it.

Gomez has his feet on Wright's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Gomez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wright manages to avoid it.
Wright decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wright seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gomez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
