Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sickwat Dan (ranked 1850 p4p, 1946 weight class) and Marski Martola (ranked 191 p4p, 204 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sickwat Dan !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marski Martola!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martola moves into range and connects with a jab.

Dan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Martola is pressing down on Dan 's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Martola looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Martola is keeping the position for now.
Dan throws a big right hand that misses.
Dan advances to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Martola doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dan .
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dan is working for a kimura but Martola is defending it quite comfortably.

Dan is trying to control. Martola wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Martola tries to roll over but Dan keeps him under control.
Dan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Martola's head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Martola is trying to get back to full guard.
Dan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Martola does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Martola lands with a straight right. Dan didn't see that one coming.
Martola throws a body punch but Dan moves out of range.
Dan appears to be looking for a big counter.
Dan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Dan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A body shot lands from Martola.
Martola lands with a left to the head.

Martola breaks the clinch.

Martola tries to keep at a distance but Dan has taken the fight into the clinch.
Martola scores with a shoulder strike.
Martola misses with a body punch.
Martola lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Martola tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Dan 's elbow.
Martola works on Dan 's body with a couple of short punches.
Martola tries to break the clinch but Dan is controlling the position.

Martola breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Martola can pounce on him.
Dan misses with a head kick.

Dan fails with a takedown attempt.
Martola digs a good body shot into Dan 's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dan shoots in and gets a takedown into Martola's guard.
Martola can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dan controls the pace.

Martola has his foot on Dan 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dan works his way back into a safe position though.

Dan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martola swivels though and keeps the full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Martola is on top in guard.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Marski Martola will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Martola lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Martola scores with a nice head shot.
Dan goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Dan misses with a takedown attempt - Martola sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Martola rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dan takes one to the chin there.
Dan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Martola wants to slow Dan down by chopping away at his legs.
A nice inside leg kick there by Martola. That's going to slow Dan down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Martola tries to sprawl but Dan drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Martola is staying active underneath Dan , who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Martola moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Dan passes Martola's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Dan prevents Martola from improving his position.

Dan throwing strikes here but Martola is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Dan swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Martola is now in Dan 's guard. A big mistake from Dan there, giving up the dominant position!
Dan is pulling down on Martola's head to control his posture.

Dan looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Martola is defending well. Dan quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Martola has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Dan celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
