The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanton lands a really nice looking cross but Banks seems unphased.
Stanton connects with a single shot there.
Banks tries to grapple but his opponent circles

Banks moves in looking to clinch but Stanton pushes him off.

Banks has Stanton up against the cage in a clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stanton has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Banks wants to clinch up but Stanton keeps it at a distance.
Stanton lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Stanton counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Banks is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Banks looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Stanton raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Stanton connects with a solid leg kick.
Banks tries to clinch up but Stanton circles away and keeps his distance.
Maxi Stanton seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Banks takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Stanton lands with a slapping head kick.
Banks is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Stanton swats away the attempt to clinch by Banks.
Stanton tests Banks's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Stanton fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Banks has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Banks's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Stanton connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Banks scrambles back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oh Banks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stanton plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Banks to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Banks just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
