Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Balal Lama!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lama throws a sloppy head kick and Mineiro moves out of range easily.

Lama gets caught flat footed, as Mineiro shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Lama looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Lama is wriggling around but Mineiro manages to pass to half guard.
Lama is looking to improve his position.
Lama has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Lama is still trying to improve position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mineiro is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lama doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mineiro.
Mineiro tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lama knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Mineiro prevents Lama from improving his position.
Lama is not content to let Mineiro control the position.
Lama gets back to full guard.
Mineiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lama swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mineiro won't allow Lama to sweep him here.
Mineiro forces his way into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lama wants to get back to full guard.

Lama kicks Mineiro off and gets back to his feet.
Lama throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mineiro counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Lama darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Mineiro is staying active underneath Lama, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lama working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Lama is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Lama takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Lama trying to pass the guard but Mineiro defending well.
Lama looks to land a strike but Mineiro avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Lama trying to control the position from guard on top but Mineiro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mineiro is looking for a triangle but Lama pushes his legs off easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lama accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mineiro trying to keep a closed guard but Lama is proving a slippery customer.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Lama content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Mineiro has locked up a guillotine! Mineiro's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Lama is holding on here and Mineiro must be using up a lot of energy. Lama has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Mineiro gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
