Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Francesco Monroe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mursk Apuro!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe looks to land a right hand but Apuro moved out of range.
It seemed like Apuro was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Apuro keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Apuro is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Monroe with a body shot.
Apuro scores with a sloppy right hand. Monroe should have avoided that one.
Monroe misses with a wild body shot.
Apuro feints the counter takedown.
Monroe misses the shot to the body.
A jab lands there for Monroe.
Monroe loads up on a big right hand but Apuro slips the punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Monroe thows a left - swing and a miss!
Monroe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Apuro doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
A slow jab from Monroe misses its intended target.

Apuro is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Apuro dips to his left and cracks Monroe with an uppercut!
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Apuro has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Monroe thows a left - swing and a miss!
Apuro has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Mursk Apuro has been cut.
Apuro lands a nice looking body shot.
Monroe stalks Apuro and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Apuro's face. Apuro staggers backwards, shaken.
Monroe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Apuro shoots in but Monroe avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Monroe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Apuro blocks a head kick by Monroe.
Francesco Monroe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Apuro goes for a double leg but Monroe avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Monroe continues to drive forward.
It looked like Monroe wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Apuro dives in and scores a takedown into Monroe's guard.
Monroe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Apuro connects with a couple of short punches.

Monroe looking to hit a scissor sweep but Apuro is one step ahead there.

Apuro scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Monroe wants to sweep but no luck.
Apuro keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Monroe's head.
Apuro stays in close to Monroe's body and controls the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Apuro accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Apuro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Monroe is trying to keep Apuro in close.
Monroe preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Apuro trying to control but Monroe is working from the bottom.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Apuro sitting in guard, not really doing much.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Monroe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Apuro.
Monroe lands a jab to the nose.
Monroe misses with a hook.
Sloppy strikes from Monroe. Those never looked like landing.

Oooooh!!! Monroe has knocked Apuro down with a huge combo! Monroe steps away and waves a wobbly Apuro back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Apuro is rocked!
Monroe knocks out Apuro with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Monroe before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Monroe picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Francesco Monroe!
A less than humble Francesco Monroe misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
