Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 2, fighting out of London, Stan Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kadyn Mercer!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mercer is defended easily by Man.
Mercer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mercer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mercer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Man lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Man slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Man cracks Mercer with a big right hand but Mercer just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Man in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Man tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Man has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Man has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Man has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Man closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mercer did well to prevent Man getting side control.

Man winds up and cracks Mercer with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Man landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Man is working for a kimura but Mercer is defending it quite comfortably.
Mercer makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mercer.
Man postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Mercer covers up, he's hurt! Man keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Man and the ref steps in to end the fight! Man can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stan Man!
