PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mamed Khalidov (ranked 25261 p4p, 4737 weight class) and Nathan Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mamed Khalidov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Lee!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khalidov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lee as he avoids it easily.
No luck for Khalidov with that takedown attempt.

Khalidov is working for takedown but Lee is calmly controlling the position for now.

Khalidov is pushing Lee up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lee scores a nice knee to the body.

Lee is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Khalidov gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Khalidov's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Lee gets control of Khalidov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lee will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Despite the aggression on Lee's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mamed Khalidov will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Lee keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Khalidov's efforts to push away.
Khalidov is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Lee is keeping busy.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nathan Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lee has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
