Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willy McCoy (ranked 1022 p4p, 1239 weight class) and Tim Bird (ranked 135 p4p, 158 weight class). McCoy's entrance music is You Don't Mess Around With Jim. A fine choice. Bird has chosen Dragula - Rob Zombie as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bird connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McCoy scrambles back to his feet.
Bird uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McCoy.
Bird tries a head kick but it misses.
McCoy half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
McCoy throws a shot from downtown. Bird moves away and avoids it.
Bird appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Bird lands a jab to the head.
It looks like Willy McCoy has been cut.
McCoy looks to land a right hand but Bird moved out of range.
Bird thows a left - swing and a miss!
McCoy digs a good body shot into Bird's ribs.
Tim Bird seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCoy gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
McCoy avoids a punch combination nicely.
McCoy swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
McCoy connects with a nice looking jab.
A punch lands to the side of McCoy 's head but he takes it in his stride.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McCoy throws a jab but it's blocked by Bird.
Nice shot lands for Bird.
McCoy is rocked!

Bird throws a quick head kick that knocks McCoy silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Bird is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

A relieved looking Tim Bird thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
