Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ishmael Egyptian (ranked 481 p4p, 482 weight class) and Kwame Redcliffe (ranked 42 p4p, 43 weight class). Redcliffe has chosen Close Your Eyes (And Count To F**k) as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ishmael Egyptian! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 15 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kwame Redcliffe! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Egyptian avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Egyptian lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Redcliffe at a distance.
Redcliffe loads up on a big right hand but Egyptian slips the punch. Egyptian fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Redcliffe manages to avoid it. Egyptian misses the jab. Redcliffe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Egyptian takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Egyptian fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Egyptian misses with a takedown attempt enabling Redcliffe to counter with a crisp jab. Egyptian uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Redcliffe. Egyptian throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Egyptian has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Redcliffe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Egyptian shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Egyptian showed some decent athleticism there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Redcliffe wants to improve his position but Egyptian is controlling well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Egyptian misses with a body punch
and Redcliffe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A cross from Redcliffe lands. Redcliffe pivots, looking for a leg kick but Egyptian is out of range and Redcliffe settles back down. Redcliffe dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Egyptian throws an overhand right that lands on Redcliffe's shoulder, as Redcliffe tries to avoid the shot. He has the arm isolated but Redcliffe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Redcliffe prevents Egyptian from moving into mount. Egyptian tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Redcliffe is trying to control Egyptian's posture but Egyptian avoids it. Egyptian advances to mount. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ishmael Egyptian will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Egyptian misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Redcliffe.
Redcliffe steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Redcliffe doesn't manage to clinch there - Egyptian circles away.
Redcliffe throws a solid leg kick but Egyptian takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Redcliffe. Egyptian tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Redcliffe was well out of range. Poor timing from Egyptian. Redcliffe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Egyptian. Redcliffe lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Redcliffe wants to clinch but Egyptian slips to the side and Egyptian counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Redcliffe is trying to get back to full guard. Egyptian wants to work for an arm triangle but Redcliffe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Egyptian passes Redcliffe's left leg - he's now in half guard. Egyptian trying to control from half guard but Redcliffe is working away. Well, if Egyptian is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza Yum. Can't wait.

Redcliffe is refusing to be controlled, as Egyptian sits in half guard. Redcliffe is controlling Egyptian's position as best he can from this difficult position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Egyptian prevents Redcliffe from improving his position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Redcliffe misses with an uppercut. Egyptian saw that one coming. Egyptian throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Egyptian is looking to wear down Redcliffe with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Egyptian sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Egyptian gets tackled into the cage by Redcliffe. Redcliffe maintains the clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Egyptian stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Redcliffe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Egyptian looking for a guillotine here but Redcliffe defends easily.

And that's the end of the fight! Ishmael Egyptian showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Egyptian, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. In defeat, Kwame Redcliffe stepped up to the mic, saying 'You're lucky I like your mumma!'.
