Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ahjo Kuomanen (ranked 13 p4p, 247 weight class) and Sheikh Mahmut (ranked 1 p4p, 15 weight class). Kuomanen kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is HonestKey - One Shot. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahmut attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Kuomanen takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Mahmut walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kuomanen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kuomanen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kuomanen has his foot on Mahmut's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mahmut works his way back into a safe position though.

Kuomanen throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mahmut escapes and throws Kuomanen's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mahmut is trying to stick to Kuomanen's back but Kuomanen is turning into Mahmut. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Mahmut's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kuomanen.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kuomanen cracks a nice hook into Mahmut's ribs.
Kuomanen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mahmut did well to prevent Kuomanen getting side control.

Kuomanen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kuomanen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kuomanen drops his hands momentarily and Mahmut takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kuomanen loads up on a big right hand but Mahmut slips the punch.
Mahmut throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Kuomanen stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Mahmut follows into mount!
It looks like Ahjo Kuomanen has been cut.
