Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Santos (ranked 1056 p4p, 2636 weight class) and Aqissiac Jacira (ranked 136 p4p, 332 weight class). Jacira is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Cherokee War Song. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacira throws out a loose jab but Santos uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jacira throws a sloppy body shot
and Santos counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jacira decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Jacira thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Santos's head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Santos wants to get back to his feet but Jacira is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jacira is fighting to break Santos's control of his arms but Santos is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Jacira misses with a lunging right hand
and Santos counters with a crisp one two that drops Jacira! Santos thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Jacira to his feet! Jacira is in big trouble!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jacira shoots in looking for a takedown. Santos tries to sprawl out of it but Jacira keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Santos manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jacira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Santos manages to avoid it.

Santiago Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aqissiac Jacira.

Jacira shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Santos napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Santos is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Santos takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Jacira with the ground and pound but Santos regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Aqissiac Jacira dominated that round.

Santos fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Jacira throws a body punch but Santos moves out of range.

and Jacira counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Santos lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Jacira misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A counter left hand to the body from Santos misses its target.
Santos throws the kick towards the body but Jacira avoids it.
Santos lands a left and a right that send Jacira crashing to the mat, dazed. Santos thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Jacira is rocked!
It looks like Aqissiac Jacira has been cut.
Santos throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Jacira is still on wobbly legs! Can Santos finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Santos engages and cracks Jacira with a massive lead left hook - Jacira tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Santos is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Santiago Santos!
