Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steven Christie (ranked 2365 p4p, 1491 weight class) and Charlie River (ranked 204 p4p, 140 weight class). Christie comes to the cage accompanied by Amityville. River comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Waylon Jennings - I've Always Been Crazy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 23 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steven Christie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 39 - 28 - 1, fighting out of New York, Charlie River! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! River throws a shot from downtown. Christie moves away and avoids it. Christie appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Christie throws an ugly left hook that misses

We've been informed that River has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Christie lands with an uppercut that bounces River off the cage and back into range. Christie is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Christie misses with a hook. River ducked under it nicely. A lazy body kick from River and Christie counters with a nice double leg into guard. River avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
