Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Evan Duvernay!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duvernay is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Duvernay has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Markkanen has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Duvernay enables Markkanen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Duvernay manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Odin Markkanen.
I think Duvernay has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
