Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jarrod Beard (ranked 323 p4p, 504 weight class) and Mac Anudo (ranked 25 p4p, 37 weight class). Beard kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ladies Love Country Boys - Trace Adkins. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mac Anudo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jarrod Beard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mac Anudo!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anudo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Beard is trying to defend but Anudo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Anudo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Beard knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Beard has his hands clasped together around Anudo's back. He's all about the action.
Beard is looking to improve his position.
Beard has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Beard had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Anudo defends it easily.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Anudo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beard does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Anudo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Anudo feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Beards jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Anudo swats away the attempt to clinch by Beard.
Anudo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Beard is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Anudo.
Beard changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anudo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Anudo manages to get back to half guard.

Beard is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anudo is trying to get back to full guard.

Anudo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Beard's guard.
Beard looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Beard is on top in guard.

Anudo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Beard cracks Anudo with a solid left hand.

Beard thows a huge punch but Anudo dodges it nicely.
Anudo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Beard is working away from the top position though.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Anudo enables Beard to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Anudo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
