Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buddah Joe (ranked 806 p4p, 1120 weight class) and Tauski Mountain (ranked 51 p4p, 70 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Buddah Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tauski Mountain!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Mountain waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Joe.
Mountain throws a looping overhand right but Joe ducks down to avoid it.
Joe tries to counter with a takedown but Mountain is quick to defend against it.
No joy there for Mountain, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Joe wants to control but Mountain is keeping him busy.

Joe tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Joe has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Joe is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mountain will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mountain ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Joe moves away.

Mountain throws a combination that misses

and Joe counters with a single leg into guard. Mountain didn't expect that.
Joe looking to sit in guard and control but Mountain gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Joe throws his legs up looking for a submission but Mountain uses it to pass to side control.
Buddah Joe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mountain decides to stand back up. Mountain steps back and let's Joe get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Joe moves out of range as Mountain strikes.
Joe half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Tauski Mountain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters circling - Mountain throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Mountain is trying to stand up here but Joe is controlling him well.

Mountain manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Joe keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Joe is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mountain gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Joe is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mountain pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Mountain pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Joe takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Joe counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Mountain!
Joe wants to control for a moment but Mountain uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Tauski Mountain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mountain has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
