Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wille Thai (ranked 44 p4p, 71 weight class) and Oscar Gustafsson (ranked 9 p4p, 12 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oscar Gustafsson!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thai showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gustafsson.
Thai fails with a takedown attempt.
Thai takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Thai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oscar Gustafsson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Thai wants to clinch but Gustafsson slips to the side
and Gustafsson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Thai drops down looking for a counter takedown but Gustafsson sprawls and moves away.

We've been informed that Gustafsson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

and Gustafsson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Gustafsson throws a shot from downtown. Thai moves away and avoids it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Thai changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gustafsson tries to avoid it but Thai manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gustafsson to the ground. Gustafsson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gustafsson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Thai tries to counter by clinching up but Gustafsson breaks away and moves out of range.
Thai wants to clinch up but Gustafsson keeps it at a distance.
Gustafsson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Gustafsson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Thai counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thai working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Gustafsson is looking to reverse the position.

Thai tries to advance to mount but can't.
Thai goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Gustafsson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Thai's guard! Nice work there by Gustafsson!

Thai is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Gustafsson frees his head nicely. Oh but Thai has switched to an armbar! Gustafsson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
