Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Elinho Mineiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Ebert!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ebert misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Mineiro to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Jason Ebert has been cut.

Mineiro forces Ebert back against the cage and clinches.
Ebert lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Mineiro tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ebert just stands there and leans against the cage.

Mineiro jumps guard and drags Ebert to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jason Ebert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mineiro uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ebert.
Mineiro swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Mineiro cracks Ebert with a big right hand and Ebert goes down!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mineiro is fighting to break Ebert's control of his arms but Ebert is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Mineiro wants to control from the top but Ebert keeps moving.

Mineiro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ebert is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ebert has escaped and now he's on top!


Mineiro is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ebert is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mineiro creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ebert pulls guard effortlessly.
Mineiro advances to half guard.
Ebert is staying active underneath Mineiro, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

and Mineiro cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Mineiro ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mineiro no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Ebert throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ebert lands a right hook to the body.
Ebert throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mineiro is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ebert appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Ebert takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Mineiro changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ebert throws a series of punches but Mineiro avoids them all with ease.

Mineiro gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ebert is breathing heavily.

Ebert reaches up around Mineiro's neck trying to control. But Mineiro takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Ebert! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Ebert is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Mineiro celebrates the victory with the fans!
