Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Lingfield (ranked 1096 p4p, 2252 weight class) and Zakir Jumayev (ranked 150 p4p, 274 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jumayev's choice of entrance music: Side to Side. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Lingfield! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zakir Jumayev! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jumayev misses with an attempted mid kick.
Lingfield throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jumayev fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. A big left from Jumayev misses. Jumayev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Donk. Lingfield catches Jumayev right on the button with a cross. Jumayev lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Lingfield scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Lingfield is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jumayev's shoulder. That is not cool. Lingfield throws an elbow but Jumayev slips to the side and avoids it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee asks Lingfield politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lingfield prefers to stall for the moment though. Lingfield is trying to get an arm triangle but Jumayev is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lingfield is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jumayev looks calm but he's in trouble here. Lingfield gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jumayev is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Lingfield lets go of the hold and Jumayev can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jim Lingfield! In his post fight interview, Jim Lingfield started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
