Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Phil St. Georges (ranked 1952 p4p, 1091 weight class) and Boko Haram (ranked 147 p4p, 88 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phil St. Georges!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Boko Haram!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

St. Georges drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Haram tries to get back to half guard but can't.

St. Georges tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no St. Georges has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
St. Georges wants to control but Haram is keeping him busy.
St. Georges tries to move to mount but Haram blocks the move with his legs.

St. Georges is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Haram has escaped the position, nice work there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

St. Georges goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Haram rolls with the submission and now he's on top in St. Georges's guard! Nice work there by Haram!
Haram has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Is It Avatary Enough?. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

St. Georges has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Haram can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

St. Georges has an active guard here but Haram has managed to pass into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
St. Georges is looking for a sweep. Haram is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

St. Georges has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Haram is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Phil St. Georges will probably get the nod.

St. Georges is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Haram still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Haram has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Boko Haram showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

St. Georges escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Haram gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Haram might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control St. Georges haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Boko Haram comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Haram has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
