Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Javon Jefferson (ranked 1462 p4p, 1951 weight class) and Jeffery Onana (ranked 184 p4p, 241 weight class). Jefferson comes to the cage accompanied by Zoey Dollaz - It's Ok (feat. A Boogie wit da Hoodie). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Jefferson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jefferson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've been told by Jefferson's head coaches at Gold Samurai's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Onana keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jefferson.

Jefferson throws out a loose jab but Onana uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Onana counters with a right hand to the body.

Jefferson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Onana moves into the clinch.

Jefferson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jefferson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Onana looks to score with a jab to the body but Jefferson is just out of range.

Jefferson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Onana bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Onana misses with a looping right.
Jefferson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Jefferson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Onana to score with a decent uppercut.
Jefferson throws a shot from downtown. Onana moves away and avoids it.
Onana flicks out a counter leg kick but Jefferson steps away.
Onana lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Jefferson is rocked!
Jefferson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jefferson is breathing heavily.
Jefferson walks straight into a right hand from Onana - that's dropped him! Onana jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Jefferson from any more punishment! Jefferson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

In his post fight interview, Jeffery Onana started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
