The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoover misses with a double jab
letting River counter with a right hand.
River stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hoover fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
River avoids a punch combination nicely.
River throws a shot from downtown. Hoover moves away and avoids it.

River has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hoover is landing a low percentage of strikes.

River throws an uppercut from hell that sends Hoover clean off his feet! He's out cold! River stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
