Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Doofy McGriff (ranked 2479 p4p, 2345 weight class) and Shaman Weaver (ranked 271 p4p, 252 weight class). Weaver is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Close Your Eyes by Acen. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weaver walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
McGriff lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Weaver at a distance.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Weaver has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Weaver drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Weaver jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
