Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grady Bronze (ranked 1479 p4p, 667 weight class) and Sumbu Kalambay (ranked 204 p4p, 97 weight class). Grady Bronze is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Grady Bronze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sumbu Kalambay !
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronze throws an off balance right hand
and Kalambay makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kalambay misses the shot to the body.
Bronze avoids the body shot from Kalambay .
Bronze swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bronze fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kalambay moves away from the strike by Bronze.
Bronze throws an off balance right hand
and Kalambay counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kalambay keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kalambay avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Grady Bronze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bronze tries to clinch there but Kalambay circles away.
Bronze motions for Kalambay to come forward. Bronze throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Bronze shoots in for a double leg but Kalambay sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kalambay enables Bronze to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kalambay manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bronze content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Kalambay tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kalambay avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Bronze.

Bronze is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kalambay 's shoulder. That is not cool.
Kalambay tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bronze wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bronze scores with a couple of short elbows.
Kalambay is looking for a sweep.
Bronze is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kalambay will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Bronze goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kalambay rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bronze's guard! Nice work there by Kalambay !

Bronze working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kalambay doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kalambay manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kalambay got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bronze has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kalambay has managed to get both his arms back between Bronze's legs - danger averted.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kalambay fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bronze manages to avoid it.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kalambay uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bronze.

Grady Bronze spoke after the fight, saying 'Well I think it's about time to let the young guys take over. I don't feel the drive to fight anymore. I'm just happy I had the opportunity to fight along some of the scariest opponents TOF has to offer.'.
