Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Emilio Morterero (ranked 2037 p4p, 3392 weight class) and Aingot Nofud (ranked 261 p4p, 377 weight class). Morterero comes to the cage accompanied by Tequila Sunrise (Spanish Version). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Emilio Morterero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aingot Nofud! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nofud throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Morterero sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nice defenses there by Nofud. Morterero pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nofud swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Nofud throws a body kick despite being completely out of range enabling Morterero to counter with a crisp jab. A telegraphed right hand from Nofud misses the target. Nofud misses with a kick to the body.
Morterero scores with a hook. Morterero explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Morterero jabs Nofud right on the nose. Nofud blinks but takes it well. Nofud throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Morterero counters with a series of strikes. Nofud will be more careful next time no doubt. Aingot Nofud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nofud looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Nofud misses the shot to the body. Morterero has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gold Samurai's Gym in the buildup to the fight. Nofud shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Nofud throws a good cross that connects.
Nofud loads up on a big right hand but Morterero slips the punch. Nofud takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morterero throws a body kick that misses. Morterero tries to bum rush Nofud with a series of wild strikes but Nofud uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nofud gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Morterero.
Nofud is rocked! Nofud throws a hook but Morterero blocks it. Nofud displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Morterero throws out the jab. Morterero misses with an uppercut. Nofud saw that one coming. Morterero avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nice uppercut lands for Morterero. That snapped Nofud's head back.
Morterero uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nofud. Morterero looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Nofud moves forwards but Morterero connects with a nice, crisp jab. Morterero lands a hook that stumbles Nofud back into the cage. Morterero follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Nofud to the canvas! Morterero pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Nofud has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Emilio Morterero!
