Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pyay Thuta (ranked 586 p4p, 560 weight class) and Shape Shifter (ranked 77 p4p, 72 weight class). Pyay Thuta had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pyay Thuta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 19 - 1, fighting out of London, Shape Shifter!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shifter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Thuta.

As Shifter backs away, Thuta returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Thuta manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Shifter keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Thuta throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Shifter has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Thuta is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Pyay Thuta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shape Shifter.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Shifter is looking for submissions but instead, Thuta has regained full guard.
Shifter wants to pass the guard but Thuta is keeping the position.
Thuta controls Shifter momentarily but Shifter frees himself.

Thuta has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Pyay Thuta is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Shifter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Thuta manages to get himself to full guard.

I would just about give that final round to Shape Shifter.
I think Thuta has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
