Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Crusher (ranked 99 p4p, 181 weight class) and Bobojo Makoba (ranked 15 p4p, 24 weight class). Makoba has chosen Zilbacore 2097 as his entrance music. Jack Crusher has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Crusher ! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bobojo Makoba! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makoba tried to score with a low kick but Crusher checks it. Makoba throws a combination that misses and Crusher counters with a nice double leg into guard. Crusher is working Makoba over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
It looks like Bobojo Makoba has been cut. Makoba avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Crusher trying to control the position from guard on top but Makoba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Makoba is adopting a defensive guard. Makoba trying to keep a closed guard but Crusher is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crusher wants to control from the top but Makoba keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crusher throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Makoba works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Crusher throws a big elbow that misses. Makoba has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Crusher has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Crusher scoring with some ground and pound. Crusher lands a couple of decent looking shots. Makoba utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Crusher throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Makoba works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Crusher wants to pass the guard but Makoba is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Makoba trying to keep a closed guard but Crusher is proving a slippery customer.
Crusher not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crusher accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Crusher trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A low kick from Makoba is predictable there and Crusher decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Makoba's guard. Crusher wants to control from the top but Makoba keeps moving. Crusher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Makoba swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Makoba is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Crusher stays in close to Makoba's body and controls the position. Crusher wants to pass the guard but Makoba is keeping the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crusher accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Crusher trying to control the position from guard on top but Makoba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. A lazy body kick from Makoba and Crusher counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Makoba trying to hold on to Crusher 's head to control him but Crusher postures up.
Crusher not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Crusher throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Crusher is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Makoba! Crusher scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Makoba?
Crusher pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The cut above Bobojo Makoba's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Crusher takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Crusher cracks Makoba with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bobojo Makoba's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bobojo Makoba's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jack Crusher ! Jack Crusher retains his heavyweight title!
