PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Tucker (ranked 291 p4p, 1127 weight class) and Kaiden Walsh (ranked 39 p4p, 152 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeffrey Tucker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaiden Walsh!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tucker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A little feinted left hand from Tucker on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Tucker lands a right hook to the body.
Walsh scores with a jab to the head.
Walsh misses with a looping right.
As Walsh looks to move away, Tucker throws a big counter combo but Walsh just gets out of the way.
Walsh checks a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walsh misses with a hook.
Tucker misses with an uppercut. Walsh saw that one coming.
Tucker looks to score with a jab to the body but Walsh is just out of range.
Walsh looks like he wants to counter punch here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tucker gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Tucker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Walsh throws out the jab.
As Walsh looks to move away, Tucker throws a big counter combo but Walsh just gets out of the way.
Walsh throws a poor cross that misses
and Tucker counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Tucker feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Walsh sprawling to the canvas! Walsh rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tucker finish him?!

It looks like Kaiden Walsh has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Walsh misses with a hook. Tucker ducked under it nicely.
Walsh misses with an uppercut
and Tucker counters with a good low kick that Walsh was not able to check.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circling - Walsh throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tucker swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Tucker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Walsh was well out of range. Poor timing from Tucker.
Walsh swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Tucker takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Walsh swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Walsh throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tucker counters with a stiff right hand.
Walsh is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tucker.
Tucker misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Walsh.
A little jabbing left from Walsh on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tucker throws a sloppy head kick and Walsh moves out of range easily.
Walsh swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Walsh throws a jab when Tucker was well out of range.
Tucker slips under a jab from Walsh.
Walsh misses with a straight left.
Tucker throws a big counter combination but Walsh scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Walsh misses with an uppercut
and Tucker counters with a stiff right hand.
Walsh looks to throw the jab but Tucker is out of range.
A counter left hand to the body from Tucker misses its target.
Walsh misses with a lunging right hand
and Tucker counters with a stiff right hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tucker throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Walsh cracks Tucker with a good jab.
Tucker throws out a loose jab but Walsh uses good head movement to avoid it.
Walsh looks to land a left hand but Tucker moved out of range nicely.
Walsh pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Tucker seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A jab from Tucker finds it's way through Walsh's defenses.

Walsh is rocked!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jeffrey Tucker dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kaiden Walsh's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Walsh throws a shot from downtown. Tucker moves away and avoids it.
As Walsh backs away, Tucker returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Walsh swings widly with a right hand
and Tucker counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Walsh badly! He tries to strike back but Tucker puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Walsh out cold! Oh man, Walsh will never hear the end of this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jeffrey Tucker!
