Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Khabib Nurmagomedov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Irong Kasamsun!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurmagomedov digs a good body shot into Kasamsun's ribs.
Nurmagomedov misses with a straight right.
Nurmagomedov takes one on the button.
Kasamsun misses with a lunging right hand
and Nurmagomedov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Irong Kasamsun has been cut.
Kasamsun feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nurmagomedovs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kasamsun cracks Nurmagomedov with a good jab.
Kasamsun moves in looking to clinch but Nurmagomedov pushes him off.
Kasamsun has his takedown stuffed
and Nurmagomedov counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kasamsun misses with a left hand
and Nurmagomedov counters with a nice uppercut.
Kasamsun jabs at Nurmagomedov's body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kasamsun misses with a looping left.
A swing and a miss from Kasamsun.
A little feinted left hand from Nurmagomedov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Nurmagomedov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Kasamsun throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Nurmagomedov makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Nurmagomedov gets tackled into the cage by Kasamsun. Kasamsun maintains the clinch.
I was talking to Nurmagomedov's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Nurmagomedov tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Kasamsun is trying to trip Nurmagomedov. He has hold of a leg but Nurmagomedov is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kasamsun persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Nurmagomedov trying to keep a closed guard but Kasamsun is proving a slippery customer.
Nurmagomedov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kasamsun is one step ahead there.
Kasamsun is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Kasamsun trying to control but Nurmagomedov is working from the bottom.
Kasamsun stands up over Nurmagomedov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Nurmagomedov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kasamsun doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Nurmagomedov is tightening it up a little... Kasamsun has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kasamsun reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kasamsun taps out! Nice BJJ there by Nurmagomedov!

A relieved looking Khabib Nurmagomedov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
