Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kimmo Kallio (ranked 456 p4p, 1132 weight class) and Donovan Sharpe (ranked 65 p4p, 157 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sharpe closes the distance and clinches.

and Kallio counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sharpe is lucky that one didn't land flush.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sharpe has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Sharpe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sharpe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sharpe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kallio has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sharpe has managed to get both his arms back between Kallio's legs - danger averted.
