PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Logan Barrengarry (ranked 965 p4p, 1397 weight class) and Malcolm King (ranked 134 p4p, 185 weight class). Barrengarry comes to the cage accompanied by The Young Crazed Peeling by The Distillers. King is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by YoungBoy Never Broke Again – White Teeth. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Logan Barrengarry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 22 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malcolm King!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrengarry misses with a low kick.
Barrengarry tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but King was well out of range. Poor timing from Barrengarry.
Barrengarry fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and King has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Barrengarry throws a lazy uppercut
and King counters with a head kick. That will keep Barrengarry thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Barrengarry walks forward, straight into a front kick from King.
King throws a series of punches but Barrengarry moves out of range.
King scores with a push kick.
King fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
King throws a shot to the body.
King swings away with a leg kick that misses.
It looked like Barrengarry wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
King takes a swing at Barrengarry's ribcage but misses.
King tries a head kick but it misses.
It looked like Barrengarry was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from King.
Malcolm King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barrengarry misses with a wild body shot.
Barrengarry throws a leg kick but King moved away.
King throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
King cracks Barrengarry with a right hand to the side of the head.
Barrengarry moves out of range as King throws a body kick.

King throws the left hand but Barrengarry avoids the punch easily.
King looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
King motions for Barrengarry to come forward. King throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
King misses with a wild body shot.
King throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Barrengarry uses good head movement to avoid the hook from King.
Barrengarry blocks a head kick by King.
Barrengarry feints and then cracks King's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow King down.
Barrengarry does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
King throws a head kick that misses.
Barrengarry has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Barrengarry blocks the body kick.
Barrengarry throws a nice inside leg kick.
Barrengarry keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
King has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
King is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Barrengarry rather than just go for the knockout.
Barrengarry attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
King throws a leg kick but Barrengarry sees it coming and moves out of range.
King lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts King, as that shot connected.
Crunch! Barrengarry slams his shin into King's torso.
King misses with a looping right.
A bone on bone clash there as King blocks the leg kick.
King throws a jab but it's blocked by Barrengarry.
King moves forwards but Barrengarry connects with a nice, crisp jab.
King throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A swing and a miss from King.
Barrengarry fakes high and swings low for a body shot but King manages to avoid it.
Barrengarry slips a jab and a cross from King.
A combination from King does no damage.
King throws the left hand but Barrengarry avoids the punch easily.
Barrengarry moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
King cracks Barrengarry with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Barrengarry connects with a solid leg kick.
A head kick misses from King.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Barrengarry falls off balance throwing a combination
and King counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Barrengarry moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
King fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Barrengarry checks it well.
King throws a poor cross that misses
and Barrengarry counters with a nice low kick that buckles King's knee momentarily.
King keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
King has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

King is rocked!
King misses with the combination.
Barrengarry thinks about countering with a body kick.
King is still on wobbly legs! Can Barrengarry finish him?
King avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
King seems to have recovered his senses.
A head kick misses from Barrengarry.

Barrengarry drops King with a beautiful combination! King stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Barrengarry is looking for the KO!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
King looks to land a combination. Barrengarry sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
King misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
King lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Barrengarry circles away quickly and effectively.
Nice defenses there by Barrengarry.
King pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Barrengarry back to the cage. King follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
King on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
BOOM! Barrengarry lands a beautiful left hook that drops King. King tries to recover but Barrengarry is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and King lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Logan Barrengarry!
A very excited looking Logan Barrengarry made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
