Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serra's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Serra duly obliges.

Le Franc has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Serra avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Le Franc swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Serra throws out a powerful jab.
Serra throws a hook but Le Franc blocks it.
Serra connects with a right hand. Le Franc shakes it off.
Serra is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Le Franc.
Le Franc takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

and Le Franc counters with a nice right hand that sends Serra toppling to the canvas! Serra scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Le Franc finish him?!

Le Franc misses with a hook. Serra ducked under it nicely.
Serra is still on wobbly legs! Can Le Franc finish him?
Serra loads up on a big right hand but Le Franc slips the punch.
Serra seems to have recovered his senses.
Le Franc buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

enabling Serra to counter with a crisp jab.

Le Franc cracks Serra with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Serra looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Le Franc finish him?

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Serra looks to land a right hand but Le Franc moved out of range.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Guy Le Franc will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jack Serra's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
