Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Handler (ranked 740 p4p, 1050 weight class) and Caelan Aengus (ranked 83 p4p, 117 weight class). Handler comes to the cage accompanied by KEEPINITBEEFY. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aengus moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Handler has been working on his boxing with his coaches at KO MMA in the buildup to the fight.

Handler shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Aengus as he avoids it easily.

Aengus throws an overhand right that lands on Handler's shoulder, as Handler tries to avoid the shot.
Aengus has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Handler is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Aengus bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Aengus lands a really nice looking cross but Handler seems unphased.

Handler looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Aengus is trying to escape back to his feet but Handler uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aengus pushes Handler away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Handler gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Handler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Handler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Aengus prevents Handler from moving into mount.

Handler is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Aengus won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Handler off his unconscious opponent!

After winning the bout, Jacob Handler thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
