The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duterte throws a hook but McIntyre blocks it.

McIntyre is looking to counter the offense by Duterte and move into the clinch.
Duterte tries a head kick but it misses.
Duterte lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Methodios McIntyre has been cut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McIntyre uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Duterte.
A quick step to the side and McIntyre tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

McIntyre thuds a left hand into Duterte's body.
Duterte throws a right hand that McIntyre ducks under and follows up with a left that McIntyre also avoids with ease.
A little feinted left hand from McIntyre on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Duterte throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McIntyre swings away with a body shot that misses
and Duterte counters with a one-two to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Duterte scoring well with a low kick there.
Duterte scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
McIntyre throws a front kick that sends Duterte stumbling back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rodrigo Duterte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duterte takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
McIntyre with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
McIntyre ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

McIntyre connects with a crisp jab.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rodrigo Duterte will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Duterte looks to land a combination but McIntyre avoids it well.
McIntyre tries to counter by clinching up but Duterte breaks away and moves out of range.

and McIntyre counters with a thumping low kick.
McIntyre throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Duterte colapses and takes a barrage of punches from McIntyre as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Duterte is left battered and dazed whilst McIntyre and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Methodios McIntyre!
During a confident post fight interview, Methodios McIntyre thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Rodrigo Duterte spoke after the fight, saying 'Don't worry I will be back!!'.
