Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Zhdanov (ranked 224 p4p, 548 weight class) and Roman Ship (ranked 20 p4p, 34 weight class). Zhdanov's entrance music is Малиновая Лада (Raspberry Lada) by Gayazov$ Brother$. A fine choice. Roman Ship told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ship fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ship gets a takedown into half guard.
Zhdanov is concentrating on defense, preventing Ship from advancing position.
Zhdanov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Zhdanov tries to get out of the position.
Zhdanov is trying to control but Ship manages to pass to mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zhdanov is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Ship sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Zhdanov tries to reverse the position but Ship maintains control.
Ship tries to control but Zhdanov wriggling away.
Zhdanov tries to hold on but Ship postures up.
Ship working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Zhdanov looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Ship! Submission of the night perhaps?

A relieved looking Roman Ship thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
