The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flanders uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gaspard.
Flanders steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Flanders misses with an uppercut.
Gaspard misses with an uppercut. Flanders saw that one coming.
Gaspard avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Gaspard lands with a nice body punch.
Flanders slips under a jab.
And Flanders responds with a good body kick, but Gaspard manages to step out the way in time.
Flanders throws a looping overhand right but Gaspard ducks down to avoid it.

and Flanders counters with a nice body kick.
Flanders throws a wild body kick that Gaspard sees coming a mile off.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Flanders counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gaspard's knee momentarily.

Flanders uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gaspard.
Flanders pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Gaspard loads up on a big right hand but Flanders slips the punch.
It seemed like Flanders was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Gaspard throws the left hand but Flanders avoids the punch easily.
Flanders swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Flanders ducks under a wild hook from Gaspard.
The fighters circling - Gaspard throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Flanders appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Gaspard misses with a double jab
and Flanders counters with an inside leg kick.
Flanders has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Flanders there as he acknowledges the shot.

Flanders throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gaspard counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Flanders throws a wild body kick that Gaspard sees coming a mile off.
Flanders displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gaspard throws out the jab.

and Flanders counters with a stiff right hand.
Flanders misses the shot to the body.
Gaspard lands a jab.
Gaspard on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Flanders. Flanders obviously looking to wear him down.
Gaspard looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Flanders ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gaspard throws out a loose jab but Flanders uses good head movement to avoid it.

Flanders lands a left and a right that send Gaspard crashing to the mat, dazed. Flanders thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Gaspard is rocked!

It looks like Jean Luc Gaspard has been cut.
Gaspard throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Flanders sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Oh Gaspard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gaspard misses with a right hand
and Flanders counters with a nice kick to the body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Flanders.
Flanders circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Gaspard to the canvas! Gaspard doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Flanders keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
