Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Schnitzer (ranked 5987 p4p, 3360 weight class) and Waldemar Friberg (ranked 362 p4p, 257 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Waldemar Friberg!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Friberg lands a jab to the head.
Schnitzer looks to land a combination but Friberg avoids it well.
Friberg scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Friberg moves forwards but Schnitzer connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Friberg takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Schnitzer connects with a body shot.
Schnitzer misses with a head kick.
Schnitzer waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Friberg.
Friberg throws a big shot that misses.
Friberg on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Schnitzer. Schnitzer obviously looking to wear him down.
A slow jab from Friberg misses its intended target.
Schnitzer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Schnitzer misses with a series of wild punches.
Friberg has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Friberg there as he acknowledges the shot.
Friberg is rocked!
Schnitzer scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Schnitzer on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Friberg is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Friberg dips to his left and cracks Schnitzer with an uppercut!
Friberg takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Friberg thows a left - swing and a miss!
Schnitzer throwing a counter right hand but Friberg manages to avoid it.
Friberg throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Friberg connects with a jab.
Friberg takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Friberg misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Schnitzer.
Friberg ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Schnitzer tests Friberg's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Friberg is still on wobbly legs! Can Schnitzer finish him?
Schnitzer fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Friberg to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Friberg looks to clinch but Schnitzer throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Friberg taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Kevin Schnitzer!
In his post fight interview, Kevin Schnitzer started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
