The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slamister blocks a jab.
Wilder loads up on a big right hand but Slamister slips the punch.
Slamister throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wilder tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Slamister is in Wilder's guard.
Slamister prevents Wilder from getting back to his feet.
Wilder wants to get back to his feet but Slamister passes into half guard.
Slamister is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wilder defends it well.
Slamister passes to full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slamister tries to control but Wilder wriggling away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
You get the feeling that Wilder really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Wilder is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Wilder tries to buck Slamister off so he can stand up but Slamister has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Wilder falls backwards, slamming Slamister to the mat but Slamister holds on tight! Wilder is forced to tap and this one is all over!
