Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between James Rocksteady (ranked 1082 p4p, 2624 weight class) and Jerome Spong (ranked 40 p4p, 316 weight class). Rocksteady's entrance music is Red Right Hand. A fine choice. Spong comes into a darkened arena with his song building. In Loving Memory kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! James Rocksteady has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jerome Spong!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocksteady avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rocksteady missing with a left hand there. Spong was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Rocksteady throws a good cross that connects.
Spong takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Jerome Spong has been cut.
Spong scores with a head kick. Rocksteady tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Spong clobbers Rocksteady with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Spong uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rocksteady.

Rocksteady has Spong pressed against the ropes, preventing Spong from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

As Spong tries to get set, Rocksteady tries to push him back and clinch up but Spong manages to avoid the attempt.

Rocksteady looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Spong might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Spong is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Spong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rocksteady bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

James Rocksteady seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rocksteady sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Rocksteady misses with an uppercut
and Spong counters with a big uppercut that nearly lifts Rocksteady off his feet! Rocksteady crashes to the mat in all kinds of trouble! The referee starts the count but I'm not sure it's necessary - Rocksteady isn't going to make it! The count reaches 10 and this fight is all over! Spong screams and throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmmm spit, everywhere. Lovely.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Jerome Spong!
A very excited looking Jerome Spong rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
