Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Figueson Deiveiredo (ranked 369 p4p, 569 weight class) and Tomas Rumiantsev (ranked 25 p4p, 40 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Deiveiredo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mission Impossible - Adam Clayton. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rumiantsev working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Rumiantsev is standing up over Deiveiredo. Deiveiredo looks to escape but Rumiantsev dives into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Deiveiredo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rumiantsev stacks Deiveiredo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rumiantsev!
Deiveiredo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

A nice side step and Rumiantsev releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Rumiantsev lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rumiantsev is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Deiveiredo rather than just go for the knockout.
Deiveiredo cracks Rumiantsev with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
