Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Holmes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marshall Praust!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Praust blocks a head kick by Holmes.
Praust closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Holmes did well to prevent Praust getting side control.
Praust is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Holmes!
Holmes wants to hold on but Praust pushes him away.
Praust wants to finish this one by submission but Holmes is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Praust.
Praust looking to control but Holmes is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Holmes is in all sorts of trouble here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Praust lands a big shot there that rocks Holmes but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Praust postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Holmes looks a forlorn figure.

Praust lands a couple of good shots and Holmes has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Praust is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Holmes has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Praust has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Holmes taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Praust doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Marshall Praust!
A relieved looking Marshall Praust thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
