Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akira Kaburagi (ranked 2347 p4p, 1230 weight class) and Darstknasset Oystenteller (ranked 246 p4p, 138 weight class). Oystenteller has chosen "You're Having My Baby" by Paul Anka as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Akira Kaburagi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darstknasset Oystenteller! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oystenteller throws a jab when Kaburagi was well out of range. Oystenteller works the jab nicely. We've been informed that Oystenteller has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Oystenteller drives through and clinches with Kaburagi against the cage.
Kaburagi letting Oystenteller take a breather here. Oystenteller throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kaburagi blocks it with crossed arms. Kaburagi has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Oystenteller is trying to keep an underhook but Kaburagi manages to get the takedown into half guard. Kaburagi is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oystenteller is trying to control but can't.
Kaburagi is looking to take a break and control but Oystenteller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oystenteller blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kaburagi. Kaburagi is nestled in close to Oystenteller, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Oystenteller is trying to get back to full guard. We've been hearing that Kaburagi has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Kaburagi wants to take a breather but Oystenteller is having none of it. Oystenteller is defending against the submission attempts here by Kaburagi.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kaburagi stalling away here and it's allowed Oystenteller to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Oystenteller looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Kaburagi connects with a couple of short punches. Oystenteller can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kaburagi controls the pace. Oystenteller keeping moving, preventing Kaburagi from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kaburagi working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Oystenteller is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kaburagi is aware though and is defending well. Kaburagi postures up and lands a big shot to Oystenteller's brow. Kaburagi wants to control from the top but Oystenteller keeps moving. Kaburagi is working Oystenteller over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Oystenteller keeping moving, preventing Kaburagi from controlling successfully. Oystenteller is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kaburagi is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Oystenteller pushes Kaburagi up against the cage in a clinch. Oystenteller lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Kaburagi goes for a takedown in the clinch but Oystenteller prevents it.
Kaburagi has hold of one of Oystenteller's legs. Oystenteller is fighting the takedown attempt but Kaburagi gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Oystenteller wants to sweep here but Kaburagi controlling him for the moment. Kaburagi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Oystenteller working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Kaburagi has passed into half guard!

That was a close round but I would say that Akira Kaburagi will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Oystenteller fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kaburagi avoids it really well and circles away. Oystenteller scores with a nice strike. Kaburagi ducks right into an uppercut from Oystenteller. Oystenteller tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kaburagi checks a leg kick. Kaburagi tries to counter with a takedown but Oystenteller is quick to defend against it. Kaburagi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Oystenteller. Kaburagi does a little dance to reset his feet. Oystenteller throws a right and a left that Kaburagi avoids nicely. Oystenteller throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kaburagi. A shot to the body from Oystenteller misses and Kaburagi counters with a shoot takedown. Oystenteller fights it but they end up in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaburagi lands a couple of decent looking shots. Oystenteller keeping moving, preventing Kaburagi from controlling successfully. Oystenteller tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kaburagi controls from within his opponent's guard. Kaburagi won't allow Oystenteller to sweep him here. Akira Kaburagi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kaburagi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Oystenteller is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kaburagi throws a strike but Oystenteller rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Oystenteller trying to control but Kaburagi is working from the bottom. Kaburagi has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Oystenteller has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kaburagi is proving hard to escape from.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oystenteller trying to move into half guard but instead Kaburagi has managed to sweep! Kaburagi is fighting to break Oystenteller's control of his arms but Oystenteller is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Oystenteller trying to control the position.

Oystenteller is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kaburagi trying to control the position from guard on top but Oystenteller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kaburagi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kaburagi wants to control from the top but Oystenteller keeps moving. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Akira Kaburagi will probably get the nod. That's time! Kaburagi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kaburagi is defended easily by Oystenteller. Kaburagi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Oystenteller was well out of range. Poor timing from Kaburagi. Oystenteller tries to clinch up but Kaburagi circles away and keeps his distance. Oystenteller throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kaburagi half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Nice defenses there by Kaburagi. Kaburagi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Oystenteller counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oystenteller closes the distance and pushes Kaburagi back into the cage. Oystenteller tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Kaburagi tries to throw a body punch but Oystenteller avoids it by throwing Kaburagi back against the cage. Oystenteller working hard to break the clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Oystenteller creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Kaburagi is trying to trip Oystenteller. He has hold of a leg but Oystenteller is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kaburagi persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Oystenteller is wriggling around but Kaburagi manages to pass to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaburagi controlling the action here. Oystenteller moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Kaburagi postures up and lands a big shot to Oystenteller's brow. Kaburagi has gone for a leg lock! Oystenteller slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kaburagi's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oystenteller wants to pass the guard but Kaburagi is keeping the position. Kaburagi working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Oystenteller.

Kaburagi pulls Oystenteller in close to prevent any damage. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kaburagi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Darstknasset Oystenteller has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kaburagi shoots in for a double leg but Oystenteller sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Akira Kaburagi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kaburagi looks for a takedown but Oystenteller sprawls well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kaburagi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Oystenteller. Akira Kaburagi is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Oystenteller fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kaburagi is out of range. Kaburagi has a takedown stuffed.
And that's the end of the fight! Darstknasset Oystenteller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kaburagi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by split decision... Akira Kaburagi! Akira Kaburagi decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little. The defeated Darstknasset Oystenteller had this to say: 'No worries! The Athletic Commission has just announced my opponent tested positive for illegal steroids again, so this fight has been declared a No-Contest. Thank you to those of us who continue to fight clean!'.
