And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Riku Momomoto!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krylov lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Momomoto slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Momomoto slips a straight right by Krylov.
Krylov misses with a lunging right hand
and Momomoto counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Krylov thinking.
Momomoto uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Krylov.
Momomoto looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Momomoto displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Krylov throws out the jab.
Krylov fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Momomoto counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looked like Krylov wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

It seemed like Momomoto was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Krylov slips under a jab.
Krylov throws a hook to the side of Momomoto's head but Momomoto sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Momomoto unleashes a big counter combination but Krylov bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Krylov has been working on his balance at St Petersburg MMA Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Momomoto.
Momomoto throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Krylov changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Krylov misses with an uppercut. Momomoto saw that one coming.
Momomoto thuds his right hand into Krylov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Momomoto missing with a left hand there. Krylov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A little feinted left hand from Krylov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Momomoto bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
