Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mustafa Erdogan (ranked 11 p4p, 105 weight class) and Ma Bong Sik (ranked 2 p4p, 14 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 33 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mustafa Erdogan! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ma Bong Sik! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Erdogan misses with a kick to the body and Bong Sik counters with a nice body shot. Erdogan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Erdogan has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Bong Sik misses the body punch enabling Erdogan to counter with a crisp jab. Erdogan scores with a push kick. A low kick from Erdogan misses and Bong Sik counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bong Sik sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Bong Sik lands a right hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Erdogan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Bong Sik swings widly with a right hand
and Erdogan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Erdogan cracks Bong Sik with a good jab. Bong Sik slips a jab and a cross from Erdogan.
Bong Sik only half commits to the counter leg kick. Erdogan misses with an attempted mid kick.
A countering left hand to the body from Bong Sik misses. Erdogan throws an overhand right that lands on Bong Sik's shoulder, as Bong Sik tries to avoid the shot. Mustafa Erdogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Erdogan throws a half hearted mid kick. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bong Sik! But no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bong Sik pulls out of a head kick attempt.

enabling Erdogan to counter with a crisp jab. Erdogan throws the left hand but Bong Sik avoids the punch easily. Bong Sik only half commits to the counter leg kick. A nice leg kick from Bong Sik, right into the meat of the thigh.

and Erdogan counters with a straight right hand. Erdogan scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bong Sik swings and misses with a shot to the body and Erdogan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Erdogan lands a jab to the head.
Bong Sik tests Erdogan's chin there with a solid looking shot. Erdogan throws a hook to the side of Bong Sik's head but Bong Sik sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A countering left hand to the body from Bong Sik misses. Erdogan throws a hook but Bong Sik blocks it. Erdogan slips under a jab. Bong Sik on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Erdogan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Erdogan is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Bong Sik misses with a hook to the body
and Erdogan counters with a stiff right hand. Erdogan lands a nice shot that snaps Bong Sik's head back.
Erdogan misses with a low kick. It seemed like Bong Sik was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Erdogan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bong Sik has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bong Sik moves forwards but Erdogan connects with a nice, crisp jab. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mustafa Erdogan dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Erdogan fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Erdogan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Erdogan lands a jab. Erdogan misses the shot to the body. Bong Sik turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. and Bong Sik takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Erdogan scores with a sloppy right hand. Bong Sik should have avoided that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Erdogan throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. It seemed like Bong Sik was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Erdogan lands a head shot. Erdogan has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Nice shot lands for Erdogan. Mustafa Erdogan is winning the standup battle so far. Erdogan throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. A looping hook to the body misses from Bong Sik. Erdogan does a little dance to reset his feet. Bong Sik takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Bong Sik looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Erdogan misses with a low kick as Bong Sik jumps back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Both fighters circling a little - Bong Sik finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Bong Sik looks for the body kick but Erdogan saw that one coming. Erdogan thinks about countering with a body kick. Bong Sik cracks Erdogan with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bong Sik has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Erdogan to stand back up!
It looks like Mustafa Erdogan has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bong Sik swings widly with a right hand
and Erdogan counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Erdogan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bong Sik can do to turn this around? Erdogan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Erdogan thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bong Sik if he has to take too many more of those.

Erdogan misses with a leg kick and Bong Sik counters with a nice low kick that buckles Erdogan's knee momentarily. Bong Sik throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Erdogan counters with a nice uppercut. Erdogan throws a shot from downtown. Bong Sik moves away and avoids it. Bong Sik tries a quick counter leg kick but Erdogan is wise to it. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Bong Sik takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Erdogan throws a leg kick and Bong Sik connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bong Sik misses with an uppercut
and Erdogan counters with a stiff right hand. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Here we go, back to the action! Bong Sik scores with a punch to the head. Erdogan connects with the punch. Bong Sik lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Bong Sik moves out of range of the strikes. Bong Sik flicks out a counter leg kick but Erdogan steps away. Erdogan throws a body shot but no joy. Bong Sik doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. and Erdogan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. Erdogan with a jab. Bong Sik lands a big head kick that sends Erdogan tumbling to the mat! Bong Sik takes a step backwards and waves Erdogan back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Erdogan is rocked! Erdogan is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Bong Sik doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Erdogan crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Erdogan's bad books for that mishap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ma Bong Sik! Ma Bong Sik is the new middleweight champion! Our winner, Ma Bong Sik, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
